Fleet Services provides a fleet management and maintenance service for our whole organisation. The Fleet Manager provides a critical role where you’ll be expected to draw on your capabilities for effective collaboration, pragmatic problem solving and a close eye for performance standards, ensuring our varied fleet of 300+ vehicles and workshop operate effectively.
Working in partnership with our single supplier your strong aptitude for relationship and contract management will be key. Ensuring our Authority’s Operator’s Licence undertakings and other statutory obligations are met will be an essential ability when providing advice on compliance and the application of road transport legislation to our diverse range of operations. You’ll need to work closely and effectively with operational managers and supervisors to maximise efficiency, flexibility and value to deliver excellent customer service for fleet users.
Using your transport management qualification, along with your broad experience and initiative to work across operational boundaries, you’ll develop systems that will control the fleet and ensure that vehicles are maintained in accordance with good practice and transport legislation.
