An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced candidate to join The Physical Performance and Nutrition department at Norwich City Football Club in the role of First Team Training Ground Chef. This is an excellent role for someone who is proactive, enthusiastic, passionate about food and a desire to strive for the best and to keep evolving in their role. Key tasks/responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Help develop customised menus and meal plans that align with athletes’ training schedules, dietary preferences, and nutritional goals, taking into consideration factors like macronutrient ratios, calorie requirements, and time timing of meals. Prepare meals using fresh, high-quality ingredients, paying attention to portion control, cooking methods, and food safety standard. Ensure meals are no only nutritious but also appealing in taste and presentation. Accommodate dietary restrictions, food allergies, and cultural/religious preferences as needed, ensuring that all athletes have suitable meal options. Pay attention to the timing of meals and snacks to support training and competition schedules, including pre-game and post-game nutrition. Help manage the budget through purchasing ingredients and kitchen equipment whilst ensuring cost-effective, nutritious meal options. Oversee the operation of the kitchen, including inventory management, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety regulations. Stay informed about advancements in sports nutrition and culinary techniques, adapting meal plans and recipes accordingly. Maintain 5-star food hygiene standards.
