We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join our finance team, who will play a key role in supporting the organization's financial operations, analysing financial data, and providing strategic insights to drive business growth and profitability. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Take ownership of cost reconciliation, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of costs, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
- Provide month-end reconciliations of accounts versus forecasts, identifying and explaining variances.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support key business decisions and strategies.
- Collaborate closely with financial reporting teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data, with a focus on better aligning management accounts with the commercial finance view of the business.
- Perform financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to provide insights and recommendations for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
- Conduct financial modelling and scenario analysis to support business planning and investment decisions.
- Provide financial support and guidance to business stakeholders, helping them understand financial implications and make informed decisions.
- Other ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.
ABOUT YOU
- Experience required in building daily / weekly / monthly reporting from scratch. Prior experience of producing management accounts essential Recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with a strong academic record.
- 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with specific experience in financial reporting and management accounts preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and financial modelling.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems, such as ERP systems, Excel, and financial modelling tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate financial information into understandable terms for non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
