Position Summary:
The ideal FP&A Co-Op will be a hard-working and motivated individual with a strong analytical and problem-solving background to complement our growing FP&A team. The focus of the role will be to lead research and analysis on a subsection of Globus Medical P&L. This role will be responsible for aggregating companywide data, with the expectation that by the end of the Co-Op, the individual will be able to create and present deliverables to department managers and relevant stakeholders as the subject matter expert. Additionally, individual will be exposed to routine monthly financial reporting processes and ad hoc projects in support of the organization.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Performing ad hoc financial analysis
- Establishing financial processes, and evaluating savings opportunities
- Supporting senior leadership in Financial Statement Analysis by responding to inquiry on summary financials, assembling detailed analysis of journal entry and vendor detail, and coordinating with various stakeholders to evaluate business trends that impact total company financial performance
- Reviewing Capital Expenditure plans to validate that proposed expenditures align with total company targets
- Partnering with the business to determine if savings opportunities exist and lead efforts to negotiate more favorable terms
- Assisting in driving operational improvements and support high visibility projects as needed
- Proactively challenging the status quo and investigate issues independently and as a team
- Assisting in development of monthly forecasts
- Performing all tasks with an emphasis on developing automation and efficiency
- Adhering to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensure Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
- Representing the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties of Globus
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
- Currently enrolled in a four-year accredited degree program
- Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting or related quantitative course of study preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Advanced Excel skills and strong presentation skills.
- Proactive and eager to tackle new projects and ideas, flexible and adaptable to work assignment
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines, work well under pressure and provide timely results
- Have a collaborative style and be able to work effectively across functional groups
- The ability to work independently and effectively interface with various levels of management
