We’re looking for a Financial Insights Analyst to join us and support in building plans and financial modelling across our Co-op logistics network. The role comes with an attractive salary and benefits package.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in the team that’s responsible for analysing performance and trends, using these insights to provide forecasts and budgets, and plans for the future.

To give you an idea of how this Financial Insights Analyst role will look and feel, here are some of the things you can expect to do:

  • Work closely with finance business partners and logistics colleagues to deliver detailed and accurate reports, financial plans and insightful analysis
  • Provide variance analysis and insight across the different business areas on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
  • Construct and maintain a network database that contains historical and planned KPIs and relevant data for use within the finance team
  • Ad-hoc analysis and support, ensuring any risk and opportunities are identified, highlighting potential financial impacts
  • Periodically review all published reports and planning models to ensure that they are consistent across the network and always fit for purpose

To apply for this Financial Insights Analyst role, you’ll need to have, or be working towards, a professional accountancy qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent). You’ll also need:

  • Previous experience working in an analysis, insight or financial reporting team
  • Good IT skills, including a proficient use of Microsoft Excel and database applications
  • Knowledge and understanding of budgets and forecasts
  • The ability to prioritise tasks while working in a complex, changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to present to financial and non-financial partners, challenging and influencing where necessary

Here you’ll do work that matters. You’ll also get a generous benefits package that includes a competitive salary, 28 days holiday (rising to 32 in line with service) and discounts on Co-op products and services. Other benefits include:

  • Pension with up to 10% employer contributions
  • Wagestream app – giving access to a percentage of your pay as you earn it
  • YuLife app – rewarding you for exercising with discounts and vouchers
  • Access to a subsidised onsite gym (at our Manchester HQ)
  • Coaching and training to support your career development
