Job summary
There is an opportunity to join our busy friendly team as one of 3 Travel Bookers . The post holder will make travel bookings and provide support and guidance to Force and Civilian personnel on travel related matters.
This post is advertised for 37 hours per week
Job description
- Provide support and guidance for all Force Personnel on all Travel related matters.
- Manage the Travel Cell Multi-User email account.
- Deal with all email, telephone and face to face enquiries relating to travel.
- Process all incoming Applications for Duty Travel ensuring policy compliance and value for money.
- Book seats for Civilian Air travel through the Defence Travel Amex GBT Booking Service.
- Book Rail Tickets through the Defence Travel Amex GBT Booking Service.
- Book UK and Overseas Hotels through the Defence Travel Amex GBT Booking Service.
- Book Eurostar through the Defence Travel GBT Booking Service.
- Book Trooper flights with Defence Passenger Reservation Service (DPRC).
- Book standard Ferry and Eurotunnel bookings with Defence Travel Amex GBT Booking Service
- .Book Ferry and Eurotunnel bookings for large vehicles / hazardous goods direct with Ferry companies and pay using GPC card.
Person specification
IT proficient with experience of Outlook, SharePoint, Excel and Word

We would like you to provide just one written behaviour statement - Working Together. A sift will take place within 2 weeks of the closing date and interviews will be held at RAF Honington.
As a result of the changes to the UK immigration rules which came in to effect on 1 January 2021, the Ministry of Defence will only offer sponsorship for a skilled worker visa under the points based system, where a role has been deemed to be business critical.
