Our Client, a prominent Law Firm situated in downtown Toronto, is seeking a highly qualified candidate to play a pivotal role in the firm's finance department. This position will primarily focus on finance and data-related tasks, including management reporting, data consolidation, financial analysis, financial planning, and modeling.
Primary Responsibilities
Actively participate in month-end and quarter-end processes, preparing comprehensive financial packages for the organization. This includes conducting variance analysis on the results.
Construct or update various financial models or datasets to facilitate data-driven analysis and decision-making.
Lead weekly and monthly management reporting, accompanied by insightful commentary and guidance to drive appropriate actions.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports, including variance analysis, to support cash position monitoring (cash flow forecasts).
Collaborate with other teams in a coordinated environment to address system-related issues and participate in implementation testing.
Conduct in-depth analysis of firm costs and expenses, assisting in the planning and forecasting process for various enabling areas.
Drive key initiatives by identifying areas of improvement and developing tools for enhanced analysis, tracking, and presentation.
Skills/Knowledge/Experience Required
Undergraduate degree, along with a relevant professional designation (CPA, CA, CMA).
A minimum of 1 to 3 years of progressive experience in a finance role within a fast-paced matrix environment, supporting multiple stakeholders.
Strong understanding of business fundamentals and financial acumen, coupled with exceptional communication skills. Proficiency in storytelling and building PowerPoint decks is essential.
Expertise in Excel, including the ability to efficiently handle large data sets and provide concise presentations and summaries for executives. Familiarity with SQL scripting is an asset.
Experience working with Aderant and BI tools, such as Microsoft BI (SSRS or Power BI), is preferred.
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with fluency in multiple languages being an advantage.
Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment and effectively manage competing priorities within an agile setting.

Salary: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
