Job title: Financial Controller - SOX & Controls Location: Welwyn Garden City Duration: 7 months initially The role: This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller with SOX and controls experience, to play a crucial role in the delivery of our program to shape, develop and embed our ESG reporting process strategy and our risk and control framework across our core ESG processes. Responsibilities: � Partnering with the business to review and document the end-to-end the ESG core processes for capturing, calculating, producing and reporting ESG-related information (KPIs and other data) across different business units. � Identifying and assessing reporting risks and likely sources of misstatement for key ESG processes, and the controls in place to mitigate those risks. � Identifying potential control gaps, discuss them with the business and propose remedial actions. � Promoting process and control standardisation and efficiency across business units. � Liaising with internal and external auditors on queries and requests regarding the processes reviewed by the role. Requirements: � Core understanding of business processes and associated SOX, risks and controls. � Practical experience of internal controls (either in control design, implementation and testing). � Knowledge of ESG issues: key topics, regulatory landscape, standards, etc. � Knowledge of Reporting and Corporate Governance. � Strong communication skills to include report writing, presentation, influencing and relational skills.
