Job Title: Finance Analyst-Bids
Job Type: Fixed Term Contract -Dec 2023, Full Time
Working location: London or Peterborough, Hybrid
Role Purpose
This is a fixed term contact till December 2023.
You would be an active member of the Bid team experienced in scenario modelling and working closely with senior stakeholders on large, complex bids including review of contractual terms, strong business partnering and presentation skills.

Located in London or Peterborough with attendance of meetings in Travelex Euston office and at Heathrow Airport
Key accountabilities
Technical Activities
- Build complete set of financial statements (P&L, BS and Cashflow) for multiple bid scenarios incorporating financial and non-financial drivers and KPIs
- Lead bid model reviews with senior stakeholders, highlighting critical assumptions, key drivers and dependencies, and developing new opportunities for assessment
- Review proposed contracts with a view to maximising profitability, removing / reducing onerous clauses including administrative requirements (e.g. Billing, Reporting, Audit) and potential liabilities
- Perform ‘what if’ modelling and present opportunities to improve commercial outcomes
- Prepare answers on a timely basis to questions received from internal stakeholders during the bid process and from external stakeholders following bid response submissions
Relationship management
- Develop professional working relationships with stakeholders, colleagues and business partners
- Work closely with the Travelex Airport Strategy & Transformation Director and Retail Trading Director
Communication
- Play a participative part in Bid Team meetings
- Be proactive in the provision of feedback and the delivery of ideas to develop and improve bid content and presentation
General
- Undertake any necessary training associated with the duties of the post and participates in training and development procedures
- Comply with all Company Health and Safety policies and legislation in the performance of their duties and responsibilities
- Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines
- Manage expenses in accordance with Company Expense Policy
- Carry out any other reasonable duties commensurate with their capability
- Work in line with reporting, process and governance standards
Knowledge and Skills:
Essential
- 3yr + Post Qualified Accountant
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills
- Experienced presenting scenarios including use of PowerPoint
- Used to working and delivering to tight timescales
- Strong analytical and modelling skills
- Ability to challenge constructively when required to do so
Desirable
- Experienced business partnering senior stakeholders
- Retail sector experience
- Complex bid partnering
