Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Financial Reporting Financial Analyst (“Associate Analyst”) reviews quarterly, semiannual and annual reports for investment companies in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (“GAAP”) and Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) requirements. Additionally, Associate Analyst may collaborate with other members of Financial Administration to support analysis, monitoring, and implement budgets for our clients, and ensure timely fund expense payments. May assist in monitoring and annual excise distributions and other reporting as Total, Returns Board reporting and year-end tax reporting requirements
- Prepare and/or review financial statements and SEC filings (e.g. N-CSR, N-CEN and 24F-2,
N-1A etc.)
- Assist with audits and provide support as necessary
- Prepare quarterly Client/Board reports
- Respond timely to internal and external client inquiries
- Complete on-going training sessions to increase industry knowledge
- Assist in fund year-end tax reporting
- Work on special projects, other regulatory filings, and ad hoc requests as assigned
Qualifications
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related area or equivalent work experience
- 0-1 years accounting or reporting experience in the registered investment company or financial services industry
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of investment types, mutual funds, ETFs, and financial markets
- Experience working with Microsoft Office applications
