Introducing the Finance Systems Team
We are creating a new team, under Group FP&A, to manage in life finance systems. This includes the finance systems roadmap, change, and incident management. Working in partnership with their Digital colleagues, and understanding the requirements of finance across Group, this team will drive forward our finance systems evolution.
The new finance systems team will take on the baton follow the excellent work from the MFB team in delivery of SAP, moving from transformational change, to in life management.

About this role
The role of Roadmap & Project Governance manager will be responsible for collating the 24-month Digital delivery plan, the detailed 3 month plan and working with finance and external system stakeholder to ensure the plan reflects finance, wider business and digital requirements.

This will require the plan co-ordination of the plan across the team with the Change Governance Manager and the Risk & Incident Manager and engaging other stakeholder to ensure all change is captured (GPOs, CoE, business projects e.g. Unify Digital projects e.g. upgrades). The role needs to ensure the plan is optimised, can be resourced, and appropriately manages the degree of risk to BAU systems as a result of change.


The role will have overall responsibility for the definition of finance testing requirements for changes (UAT) and optimising the test approach with Digital.

Key responsibilities
  • SAP system across the business, digital and the internal team to align the 24 month and 3 month (detailed) change plan to ensure this is optimised, can be resourced, and appropriately manages the degree of risk to BAU systems as a result of change
  • Presentation of the roadmap to the Finance Change Governance Board
  • SAP change impact assessment and prioritisation to support roadmap decision making
  • Overall change reporting versus plan highlighting status and including milestones tracking
  • Significant stakeholder engagement to analyse and understand change impact and prioritisation with the finance team, CoE, GPOs to co-ordinate project led changes, CRs and incidents; with the Digital team re upgrades and system releases; the broader business team regarding changes to feeder systems to SAP
  • Leading Finance test management ensuring UAT standards are defined and support the focus of testing through impact assessments and aligning the test strategy with Digital testing. Supporting the scope of regression testing
  • Leadership of the finance SAP user groups co-ordinating change communication and with the Risk & Incident manager collating requirements, issues and providing feedback
  • As required, Project reporting for finance projects
  • As required, Project costing support
Key skills required
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills including proficiency to facilitate dialogue between Technology teams and business stakeholders to formulate business readiness plans and trackers
  • General finance experience – you will be working with finance teams, to be effective you will need to understand month end reporting processes and general finance reporting procedures
  • Demand & Delivery experience - in a complex matrix environment with many different stakeholder
  • Understanding of Digital change methodologies
  • Project and change delivery experience across a global functional team like finance, or related corporate functions
  • ERP exposure – SAP ERP experience
  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent) or relevant technical experience - desirable
  • Project management qualifications – desirable
