Job description
Job Purpose:
The intern will shadow employees in several departments and will be required to observe and learn technical skills relating to the civil engineering and manufacturing industry. The intern will be able to multi-task, pivot and stay organised. This role will work closely with the Finance team to consistently deliver on business objectives and will contribute to providing an efficient and timely service to the business with regard to department related tasks assigned by the department manager.
Interns will also get exposure to additional departments to give an insight into how departments interact and collaborate.
The intern will also be required to complete an agreed independent project, with some support from their supervisor and team members. They will also contribute to a group project alongside other interns.
Interns can expect to be invited to engage in some community focused activity and there will be social activities to attend, to give interns a chance to meet people across the organisation and understand our organisational culture.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop interpersonal and administrative skills.
- Contribute to the smooth running of business project relevant to the interns skill and industry.
- Support with the collation of data and methodical file management.
- Gain an understanding of statutory accounts and the auditing process.
- Support with data cleansing and automation.
- Assist with enhancing the process for onboarding new suppliers.
