About the role
We have an excellent opportunity for a fully qualified accountant to join our Financial Reporting team in our head office in Edinburgh. The role offers a real step-change for us in the UK, helping add value by way of review, challenge and financial control while acting as a key point of contact for colleagues in our shared service centre and Amsterdam.
Working within Financial Reporting you will mainly be responsible for Accounts Receivable (AR) reporting, including bad debt calculation and customer loans assessment.
This role will focus on monthly reporting for AR, which forms a key part of period end close activities and control compliance. There will also be scope to undertake review of other management reporting entity packs as part of month-end activities. To achieve this, you will be a key coordination point for the shared service centre based in Krakow, and you will also business partner our internal commercial teams and key stakeholders. The role will also include assisting with preparation and review of our local statutory legal entity financial statements. After recently implementing a new ERP system, this is an exciting period of change across the finance function and you will be joining a hard working team in a fast-paced environment.
Who we’re looking for
A commercially aware Qualified Accountant with previous experience in financial reporting. Experience within FMCG or a large organisation would be preferable.
If you;
- Have experience of IFRS or UK GAAP/FRS 101 accounting standards.
- Have excellent excel skills.
- Are an effective communicator, able to develop relationships and work with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Are motivated by continuous improvement and challenging the status quo.
Then this could be the role for you!
We embrace learning and growth and we anticipate there is scope to develop in this role. You’re also likely to bring experiences to this role that are not listed above – as long as you have a thirst for learning and development, not every box needs to be ticked when it comes to skillsets.
As this role is office based, please note we currently operate a hybrid working framework which allows us to capture the benefits of both working in the office and at home. For full time roles, we work a minimum of 3 days in the office, a Tuesday and Thursday are for all, with the third day being defined by the colleague.
