Applications are invited for a permanent Finance Operations Officer working within the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences (NDPCHS) administration team.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this post offers an excellent opportunity to combine sound operational finance experience with line management responsibilities and provides good scope for career development.
The successful applicant will line manage the Finance Assistant (1.0 FTE) and the Finance & Teaching Administration Officer (0.5 FTE) and will operate as the ‘face’ of the Finance Team on day-to-day matters, ensuring the delivery of an excellent level of service to internal and external customers in respect of the Department’s financial operations.
The successful applicant will bring a positive, solution-oriented approach, leading by example to embed process improvements together with the team. You will have good knowledge of the P2P, AR and expense functions, and significant experience of working in a relevant financial operations role. You will be expected to role model the behaviours of team-working, communication and relationship management throughout all areas of your work.
You will have a high degree of numeracy and evidence of analytical ability demonstrated through qualification or significant relevant experience. You will also bring a good knowledge of the P2P, AR and expense functions, ideally in a Higher Education context and have significant experience of working in a relevant financial administration role, including experience of working with computerised financial systems.
You will be based in the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG.

The position is a permanent post which is offered on a full-time basis but requests to work part time (minimum of 0.8 FTE) are welcomed.
