About us
UCL Division of Biosciences is one of the world’s foremost centres for research and teaching in the biological sciences and one of the largest Divisions within UCL, undertaking a significant amount of research and teaching. The Division has a diverse portfolio addressing all areas of biology from protein interactions to cell function, organism development, genetics, population studies and the environment.
About the role
The post-holder will work as part of the Division of Biosciences’ Finance Team to provide a range of financial and administrative support, primarily for Divisional budgets. There are two Finance Officers within the Finance Team and they will be jointly responsible for overseeing the expense claim process and Division financial administration, including facilities recharging, suspense account, studentship finance, and intranet administration. The post-holder will be required to maintain a good working knowledge of all UCL financial policies and procedures and reporting packages.
About you
GCSE or equivalent experience is essential; as is knowledge of financial processes and regulations associated with general financial administration; and proven experience of Computerised Accounting Systems and General Ledger structures.
