Job description
The West of England Combined Authority is seeking to appoint a Finance Officer, to join the Finance team. Your key responsibilities in this role would be to ensure a focus on delivering the priorities of the Metro Mayor by:
- Ensuring that invoices, journals, grant payments and other financial transactions are processed in a timely, accurate, effective manner, resolving supplier and other queries.
- Completing, reviewing, and clearing bank account and balance sheet control account reconciliations monthly and maintaining appropriate documentation to support the audit.
- Maintaining the Finance Outlook inbox and ensuring all queries are actioned.
- Providing financial and management accounting information, both regular and ad-hoc, to Directors and Managers within the West of England Combined Authority to enable them to manage financial resources effectively.
- Challenging and improving financial systems, processes, and controls to get best value for taxpayers’ money.
