A bit about our Department or School
The University of Salford Finance Department is responsible for the overall financial management of the institution and its subsidiaries. The department is made up of a team of 70 staff and provides a full range of financial services to the University, including: payroll, financial systems, management and financial accounting services and a travel office. We operate a devolved system of planning and budgeting and the Finance team works closely with Academic Units and Professional Services to maximise opportunities and ensure financial sustainability.
Key responsibilities or requirements
The role of Finance Officer will report directly to the Finance Manager and will provide support across the range of finance functions within the Academic Finance team. The role is heavily focused on providing excellent customer service whilst ensuring operational compliance with financial regulations and procedures.
The role will be responsible for ensuring financial information is recorded and reported in a timely and accurate way in line with rules and regulations of the University and financial best practice.
