Location: Home-based with occasional twice monthly meetings to be held in either our Southwater/Horsham or London Offices.
Contract: 6 month fixed term contract
Hours: Full time (35 hours per week)
We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our fantastic Financial Control & Reporting team.
The role will primarily involve supporting the wider team with financial administration, including managing the team inbox and processing manual payments.
The role will require an individual who has the ability to ensure effective, efficient and accurate processing of financial transactions including, purchase orders, invoices and credit notes. Reconciliation of periodic statements, accounts and related transactions.

Here’s some of the key work you’ll be doing:
- Ensuring there is a clear record of financial transactions for expenditure in accordance with organisational and tax authority requirements.
- Responding to queries from internal customers, responding to external stakeholder and customer queries.
- Reconciling statements, accounts and related transactions.
- Identifying, correcting or referring errors and accounting discrepancies.
- Daily responsibility for the mailbox.

- A good level of Maths and English or equivalent
- Recent working experience in a financial function
- Experience of working in a transaction processing function
- Experience of customer service
- Computer processing skills
- Work well in a team setting

- Empathy with RSPCA’s charitable objectives
