NOCN are seeking to recruit a Finance Officer to work on a Permanent basis as part of the Group Finance Team.
Due to continued growth, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Finance Officer to join our team in Sheffield.

Reporting to the Management Accountant and working closely with our Finance team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of NOCN Group's Finance functions, which cover the accounts payable, accounts receivable and management accounts. The sucessful candidate will ensure a professional and high quality service at all times regardless of the assigned function(s) and to be willing to learn other parts of the finance function for cover and future career development.

What will you be doing?
Finance Officers will work together to create a multi-skilled, flexible and well-trained team capable of supporting one another and the wider Group. The role’s direct duties and responsibilities will vary depending on the function they are assigned to. It is expected that each Finance Officer will initially be experienced in and work on one to two functions (sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control and management accounts), but will be open to gaining exposure and being trained on the other areas for cover and career development.
About you...
The successful candidate will have:
- Right to remain and work in the UK (full-time).
- A Level 3 (e.g. A Level).
- A Level 2 qualification in Mathematics (at least a grade C in GCSE Maths or equivalent).
- A Level 3 or higher AAT or other finance/accounting qualification (or willing to work towards).
- 2+ years’ working in an accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general finance function.
- Strong Excel skills including charts.
- Good general IT skills including the ability to proficiently use the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent planning and administration skills.
- Precise and exact attention to detail.
Other desirable criteria:
- Educated to degree level.
- Experience of Sage 200 or Sage 50.
- Knowledge of pivot tables, IF statements and V-LOOKUPS.
