Responsibilities:
Order Processing:
- Receive and review customer orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Use our warehouse management systems (WMS) to locate, pick, and pack items for shipment.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and error-free order processing.
- Collaborate with team members to address any order-related issues or exceptions.
Packaging and Labelling:
- Package customer orders securely and appropriately, adhering to packaging standards and guidelines.
- Apply labels, barcodes, and other necessary identifiers to ensure accurate tracking and delivery of orders.
- Conduct quality checks to verify the correct items and quantities are included in each package.
Inventory Support:
- Assist in inventory management activities, including receiving, stocking, and replenishing merchandise.
- Conduct periodic stock checks and assist in cycle counting to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Collaborate with the team to organize and optimize warehouse space.
Quality Control:
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and quality.
- Participate in quality control processes, such as conducting inspections and reporting any product or packaging defects.
- Follow established quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Teamwork and Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Communicate effectively and proactively with colleagues and supervisors to address any challenges or issues.
- Support and assist teammates as needed, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the e-commerce fulfilment or logistics industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with technology, such as order management systems or warehouse management systems.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with colleagues and supervisors.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as required by business needs.
- Positive and "can do" attitude
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: From £10.90 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
