FINANCE OFFICER
An exciting opportunity for a confident and experienced Finance Officer has arisen for three of our leisure attractions. Based at The Lakes Aquarium in Cumbria, the role also encompasses The Bournemouth Oceanarium, and Nickelodeon Adventure Lakeside in Essex.
Reporting to the Accounts Manager, the Finance Officer will be responsible for the efficient delivery of financial operations and information for all three sites. This involves processing sales and purchase invoices, reconciling the takings and bankings, completing the weekly bank reconciliation, helping with month end procedures and assisting the Site Managers with their accounting, ensuring that adequate control systems are in place for all financial aspects of the businesses.
The ideal candidate will have had at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role and possess a minimum AAT Level 4 qualification. They must have proficient experience in Microsoft Excel, have excellent communication skills and be reactive to financial deadlines. Experience in Sage 200 is an advantage. This role is full time permanent (40 hours per week, 5 days a week) and based at The Lakes Aquarium, Cumbria. This is a hybrid working role - working both on site and from home. The position carries an annual salary between £25,000-£27,000 (dependent on experience), a competitive benefits package, 28 days holiday and complimentary tickets to the attraction.
