Job Description
At Lloyds Banking Group our primary purpose is to help Britain prosper…
To do this we're aiming to deliver even more for our 30 million customers by transforming and investing massively in our people, data and systems.
Underpinning our transformation is a Planning & Analysis Finance team within a new Centre of Excellence (CoE) that looks after our investment cost base, such as expanding our Cloud operations and Big Data ambitions.
The CoE provides an outstanding service dedicated to enabling Finance Business Partners (FBPs) to deliver effective conversations with the Business.
Our culture of Building the Best Team in Finance and our subdivision promotes a positive, empowering culture. You’ll enjoy contributing to a diverse and inclusive team and thriving in an innovative work environment!
We're looking for someone who can help cultivate an environment in which people bring out the best within the Planning & Analysis team and nurture the customer-centric philosophy.
You’ll be working in a collaborative fashion with teams such as FBPs, Business Management and Reporting & Control, building and maintaining strong working relationships across both Finance and the wider business.
Here's what you'd be focusing on:
- Being the key point of contact for FBPs within the CoE
- Collaborating across the CoE to deliver aspects of our investment portfolio in a timely manner
- Delivering reporting, analysis & insight to the senior management and providing effective and reliable support to both FBPs and the business
- Ensuring that core finance processes, reporting, budgeting and (re)forecasting are delivered accurately and effectively
And some of the specific task you'd undertake:
- Cost planning and analysis activities across BAU and Investment projects, challenging where required and providing commentary, analysis & insight
- Review of divisional & consolidated reporting across BAU and Investment cost base, challenging where necessary and providing commentary and CoE analysis & insight
- Supporting new analysis, scenario modelling and providing insights to the business to support strategic and operational results
- Gatekeeper for GT & GCIO Benefits including the modelling, tracking and forecasting against targets.
- And you'd have an active role to play in project activity to improve team processes and, more broadly, processes across Group Cost Management
What do we need to see on your CV?
- You'll need to be a qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc. (or equivalent)
- You'll show you have a good level of experience in Cost planning & Analysis activities within a Finance context working within a similarly large organisation
And wider?
Financial Services experience would be useful but isn't crucial and if you had experience of systems like PAX or SAP then this would be handy.
What you'll get in return:
Working from home is supported and hybrid working encouraged (2 days in the office hub). We're also supportive of flexible and part-time working and happy to have a conversation about what might work for you.
As a leading employer we're massively passionate about diversity and equal opportunity with industry recognition across gender, ethnicity, disability, LGBTQ+ and families. And, being disability confident, reasonable adjustments can be accommodated in our Recruitment process.
Here's what we can we offer you in return...
Whatever your aspiration, you can also expect excellent benefits, personal development and a career that’s enriching and full of opportunity.
You'll also receive a package that includes...
- Discretionary bonus
- Private Medical Insurance
- Pension, where we'll give up to a max of 15%
- Share plans
- 30 days holiday (plus Public)
Are you interested in joining us? Apply today, we’d love to hear from you.
Will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment. Please contact us to request accommodation.
