CIMA Finance Apprentice

You will gain valuable workplace experience whilst working towards your CIMA Level 4 or 7 qualification (Depending if Degree qualified or School leaver status), providing support and assistance to the controlling team and production management accounts for the brick and tile production sites.
About the Qualification:
CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting gives you fundamental knowledge of business and accountancy. You must pass all four exams to gain the Cert BA qualification. Upon successful completion, you can then progress onto the CIMA Professional qualification and subsequently become a qualified Management Accountant.

The Role:
- SAP – Processing, reporting and analysis
- Support factory budgeting, costing and forecasting
- Communication of financial information to operational and production managers
- Assisting the above managers with understanding the implication of the data and the actions required to enhance performance of their site
- Dealing with site queries and accurate maintenance of cost centre data
- New product development – creating Bill of Material’s and costings of new products
- Maintain accuracy of Bill of Material’s for existing products
- Assist in the month end close and create monthly reporting packs for the factories and board of directors
- Support BAB analysis and investigation of variances
- Ensure accurate monthly reporting of KPI’s across the business
- Deal with purchase order queries from site
- Reconciliation of Stockyard adjustments
- Support Production Controller with stockyard cost centre management
- Support Energy and CO2 reporting and submissions
- Support Fixed Asset accountant with monthly/quarterly reporting
- Reconcile SAP and Daily Production postings
- Creation and Distribution of Maintenance Spend Tracker
- Cost of Quality Reporting
Skills & Experience:
- GCSE’s Maths and English and 3 x A Levels (all grades A-C)
- Experience of MS Office packages (with strong Excel skills)
- Possess drive for self-development and growth
- Able to deliver to tight deadlines and manage a diverse workload
- Possess strong communication skills
- Resilient and flexible, with the ability to cope with a changing environment
- Can work well as part of a team, and able to build effective relationships
- Ability to work on your own initiative
Hours of Work: 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday
