Job description
FP&A Analyst (first step from practice ACCA / ACA) | £50,000 - £60,000 + suite of benefits | Spalding (Hybrid Working Model)
The Opportunity
If you are a recently qualified accountant looking to make the move across to the cut and thrust of industry we would welcome the chance to discuss a new opportunity in Spalding.
You will work with a large and expanding international group. The role is designed to provide you with a smooth move across to industry – providing the right degree of support and mentoring whilst also allowing you to gain varied and broad experience over the next 12 – 24 months.
The role is high profile and sits within the highly visible group finance function. There is major scope for swift and lucrative progression and the vacancy is a result of internal promotion. You will ideally be someone with career ambition and keenness to learn and develop.
You will enjoy
This is a perfect step for someone looking to move from a technical position (audit / TS) in practice into a role that gives you more opportunity to ‘see the full picture’ and really make a difference.
It will involve various financial / group reporting activities, exposure to forecasting and planning, management accounting, budgeting and business partnering.
You will work in a talented and highly collaborative team able to provide support and coaching where required. The group invests heavily in employee development and employee satisfaction.
It’s a superb culture – collaborative and supportive. A group that understands the skills you have and the support you might need when making the step from top tier practice. It’s a profitable and expanding international group with UK and overseas secondment opportunities downstream (Asia or USA potentially).
You’ll have autonomy and trust coupled with mentoring and clear roadmaps for development.
You will need:
- Experience of audit within a professional mid or top tier practice environment.
- To have recently completed ACCA / ACA and have ideally gained exposure to large client audits (large and reasonably complex groups would be beneficial).
- A proactive and ‘can do attitude’
- A methodical, diligent approach with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communication skills and keenness to work in a vibrant team environment.
- Career development ambition.
- Commercial acumen – while you need technical accounting skills this is a business facing role and you will be someone with an interest in business and confident commercial awareness.
