Head of Finance - VC Backed AI Software Scaleup
Hybrid working
£80,000-90,000k basic (dependent on experience) + Bonus + Benefits
Talentedge are really excited to be representing a leading AI software scaleup based in London. Backed by prominent venture capital firms, the company is at the forefront of developing cutting-edge AI technologies.
As the Head of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring the company's financial health. You will work closely with the executive team, investors, and key stakeholders to provide strategic financial guidance and contribute to the company's growth and success.
Key responsibilities to include:
- Develop and execute financial strategies, budgets, and plans to support the company's goals and objectives.
- Provide strategic financial advice to the executive team and participate in key decision-making processes.
- Oversee financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess financial implications of business initiatives and investments.
- Evaluate and mitigate financial risks and implement effective internal controls.
- Manage investor relations, including financial reporting, investor communications, and fundraising activities.
- Monitor and optimize financial performance indicators and metrics.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Profile:
- Full accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CA)
- Proven experience in finance and accounting roles, preferably in the technology or software industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Experience in working with venture capital firms and managing investor relations is highly desirable.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record of driving financial growth and operational excellence.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
