What is the job role?

We are searching for a Group Finance Manager to join our team at Gael Force Group, based at our Headquarters in Inverness.

What were looking for:

As the company continues its growth trajectory empowered by new innovative product development designs, we seek a highly motivated individual to lead the finance function. The role is critical to the successful reporting of monthly performance, quarterly performance and will oversee the preparation of the Group Annual Financial Statements. Providing the necessary financial information and KPIs, this role will be able to positively influence the companys trajectory and help support senior management in understanding the business impact of their decisions.

This exciting opportunity would suit a strong management accountant looking to make a step towards the Finance Manager role or an established Finance Manager looking to join a growth company in supporting the sustainable aquaculture industry.

Tasks include:

  • Preparation of monthly consolidated accounts for all stakeholders.
  • Management information and KPI reporting to senior management.
  • Motivate, lead and support finance team members.
  • Provision of information for the quarterly reporting packs for the Group Consolidation in accordance with the reporting timetables.
  • Oversee the annual audit process and the preparation of the Financial Statements in accordance with the agreed timetable for the specific legal entities within the development project.
  • Development of a continuous improvement culture.
  • Supporting and leading change programmes, helping to support the Finance Director and finance team to deliver a step change improvement in processes.

What youll need:

  • Previous industry experience
  • Strong technical background and skill set
  • Excellent communication skills - in all forms for each audience
  • Experience of working in several accounting systems with strong Excel skills
  • Proven track record of delivering and implementing change with a passion for improvement
  • Broad and varied experiences in role
  • Confident manner and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Willingness to grow and expand their role as the Group grows
  • The candidate can positively demonstrate ability to work well within a team and autonomous environment
  • Working knowledge of Project Accounting/Management - deadline/ delivery focused
  • Attention to detail, well-developed analytical skills and willing to participate and support the finance team as well as wider company operations
  • Flexible approach to support other areas of the finance function or business as and when required

What can you expect:

In return for a 39-hour week we are offering a salary between £40,000 to £55,000 depending on the experience and knowledge of the candidate, with a generous staff discount on over 10,000 product lines in-store and a cycle to work scheme. Annual leave commences at 30 days per annum, increasing with length of service.
