The Role – Finance Business Partner
Fresh People are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager / Business Partner for our client a Fresh Produce & Agricultural Business based near Maidstone in Kent. Reporting directly into the Finance Director you will partner the production side of the business, providing detailed and in-depth financial analysis whilst supporting the farming operations in its decision-making process.
The Candidate
Suitable candidates will be ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA / qualified or QBE already in a Commercial Accountant or Business Partner Role from Agriculture, Fresh Produce of FMCG ideally. With strong interpersonal skills with a proactive attitude to ensure delivery of effective business partnering whilst influencing stakeholders . You will be tasked with gaining credibility across the business, supporting, influencing and challenging senior management whilst gaining a good comprehensive understanding of the production & farming operations within the business building working relationships at all levels with advance excel skills
Key Responsibilities would include:
- Be the finance contact to work with the business in order to achieve its financial objectives through financial analysis as well as business insights and solutions.
- Analyse costs and profitability by both crop and site.
- Proactively challenge senior management whilst developing and proposing financial solutions.
- Support in annual costing and budgeting processes, along with standardised costs of production.
- Continuous improvement of processes for efficient and effective financial analysis for commercial and finance teams.
- Support other farming functions, such as accommodation and transport, in order to ensure cost efficiencies are delivered.
- Understand and challenge data sources and assumptions to ensure reporting is robust, consistent and supportable
- Provide critical appraisal of and input to key decision making throughout the production side of the business
- Act as the deputy for the finance director in their absence
