Due to an internal promotion we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join our team in Compass One as an FP&A Analyst. Reporting in to the FP&A Manager the FP&A Analyst will support the business with concise, high impact, proactive reporting, forecasting and analysis acting as a key liaison between the Sector Finance Team, Sector FP&A and UK Business Intelligence team
More about the role:
The FP&A Analyst will be responsible for;
Designing and maintaining appropriate standard weekly/monthly reporting to help business leaders drive operational performance.
Producing monthly business performance packs/briefing material.
Ensuring balance sheet integrity for the sector and driving working capital improvements.
Approving of journals, ensuring validity of accounting entries and compliance to contract and Group Accounting Manual, escalating any concerns to senior stakeholders.
Reviewing and investigating variances and trends across the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflows.
Supporting with the budgeting and forecasting process, including understanding variances and preparing analysis for senior stakeholders.
Utilising data management, analytics and reporting tools to continually optimise processes both within finance and the wider business.
Producing ad hoc analysis and involvement in project work / initiatives.
Who you are:
The successful FP&A Analyst will have the below:
Essential
Qualified with ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) or QBE
Comfortable with data and insights tools [Intermediate SQL proficiency]
Advanced Excel skills
High numeric and analytical skills
Desirable
Knowledge of SAP / Cognos (in-house Compass Group system)
Previous experience with analytics tools (e.g. PowerBi, Tableau and Quicksight) or willingness to learn
