A new role for a Finance Officer to join our dedicated team within the Business Support department.
The Finance Officer will undertake school finance duties as detailed in the job description and will line manage the Business Support Assistant (Finance) to support the smooth operation of our finance department in ensuring accurate processing of financial transactions and maintenance of financial records.
The role will include overseeing a variety of finance issues, including purchase orders, invoice payment and sales invoice queries and resolution from suppliers and budget holders; payroll; processing bank and credit card statements and expenses; overseeing bookings and all financial aspects supporting the smooth running of trips and visits. The post holder will report to the Business Manager.
A recognised financial qualification is preferred (AAT, CIPFA) and experience of school financial processes would be beneficial but not essential. Support with induction, training and CPD will be provided.
The successful candidate will be a confident, proactive and highly organised individual who can provide comprehensive administrative support to the team, with a core focus on financial administration and payroll management. They will have a flexible and energetic approach, relish variety in a role and thrive on working well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
