Finance Officer
Salford, Manchester
15 hours per week split across 3-4 days, company very flexible
£25,000 - £28,000 pro-rata (£10,000 - £11,200, £12.82 - £14.36 per hour) + annual pay increases + 28 days holiday (pro rata), increasing with length of service + 5% pension
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and driven Finance Officer to join a growing & well-established ethical organisation.
Our client is a not-for-profit financial institution, whose goal is to give back to the local community by providing ethical finance to those in need. Established for over 35 years, they serve people who live within the Greater Manchester area.
They’re looking for a Finance Officer from a financial background to join their small team of 5 to manage the finances of the organisation. This role will involve a wide range of financial tasks (listed below), and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a big impact on a small organisation, and potentially progress onto more senior roles.

The role
Day-to-day responsibilities
· Paying invoices and salaries
· Undertaking various analytical tasks
· Bad debt provisioning
· Budgeting
· Managing prepayments
· Preparing financial accounts & forecasts
· Liaising with various stakeholders (such as debt collection agencies, members that are in default, etc.)
· Bank reconciliations
· KPI reporting
· Liaising with internal and external auditors.

The Person
Essential
· Finance/bookkeeping experience
· Experience undertaking at least the majority of the finance tasks listed above
· Working towards (or open to starting to work towards) AAT level 2/3
Desirable
· Fully AAT Level 3 qualified
· Not-for-profit experience
· Personal finance experience
