The company
The Charity Partners, a division of Brewster Partners have the pleasure of working with a fantastic charity based in Sheffield. They are looking to appoint a Finance Executive to join their team.
The job
The Finance Executive will be predominantly based in the office and will be a fulltime position of 37.5 hours a week.
The duties will include:
- Posting all income and expenditure transactions into the accounts packages.
- Reconcile income to the bank and to the fundraising/donor package.
- Post purchase invoices, credit cards and undertaking regular payment runs.
- Process income including cash, cheques and online donations from various online giving platforms (e.g. JustGiving, PayPal, Shopify)
- Performing bank reconciliations on all accounts
- Raise sales invoices and chase outstanding debtors.
- Process regular Gift Aid claims
- Set up supplier accounts as required.
- Support the Head of Finance in the production of the month end accounts pack.
- Support the Head of Finance in the production of the annual budgets.
The person
The right candidate for this position will be enthusiastic and an excellent team player with management experience and who has at least 2 years in a finance role.
In order to succeed in this position, you will need.
- Minimum of AAT level 3 or equivalent.
- Experience of taking accounts processes to trial balance stage
- Be competent with CRM and accounting systems, ideally those tailored for charity fundraising/ donation.
- Experience within the third sector would be beneficial.
- A positive and resilient attitude who is proactive and able to work on their own initiative.
