We are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to join our friendly Fostering Finance Team. What will you be doing?You will be working alongside our other Finance Assistants to process the finance-based information from our carers and social work teams, in line with our policies and procedures. This information is then used to calculate and process both individual payments and bulk payment runs. You will also liaise with our internal teams in relation to fostering finance matters, and handle queries from both internal and external sources.
About youYou will be someone who is highly organised with a keen eye for detail, interested in finance and a great communicator. An understanding or experience of working with confidential information in a customer focused environment and working to tight deadlines is crucial. Good communication and team working skills are essential, and customer service skills may be an advantage. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 is essential and experience of ContrOCC or other financial software packages would be desirable. However, full in-house training and professional development is available.
We are looking for you to hold 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English at grade C and above or equivalent experience. AAT qualifications (or equivalent) would be an advantage.
The team is based in the Huntingdon area but the post is hybrid with up to two days a week in the office. If you would like to be part of a team that makes a real difference to providers and service users throughout Cambridgeshire then we would welcome your application.
