Wren Laboratories is a successful, family-run business based near Andover, Hampshire. It produces a range of health supplements called ‘Optibac Probiotics’. The products are sold in the UK, Ireland and many export markets via multiple different sales channels including pharmacies, health food stores, grocery, direct to consumer website, online retailers, and marketplaces.
Wider Team
Flexibility is essential at Wren Laboratories, with all teams (eg. Finance, Marketing, Sales and Distribution) working closely together to support and develop the ‘Optibac’ brand, so occasional additional support duties will be required in other areas of the business.
Team Purpose
Finance is a key business partner to the other functions with the primary responsibility to provide accurate and timely financial information for the wider business to use in all aspects of decision making. Finance is integral to the wider business not just as a processing function.
The function also provides recommendations, analytics and integrates data as needed to support for short-to-long term decision-making, drive key initiatives as well as supports the budgeting and forecasting processes.
Main Purpose And Scope Of The Job
The main responsibility of this job is to support the FP&A team with business accounting activities. This includes raising, sending and paying invoices, reconciling company accounts and chasing late payments. This is a hands-on role where accuracy and efficiency are paramount. You will need a strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, good organisational skills, and working knowledge of accounting software.

- Inputting Purchase Ledger invoices into NetSuite
- Reconciling bank accounts
- Bank payments
- Raising sales invoices
- Credit Control
- Supporting Telesales
- Chasing PO’s
- Processing expenses
- Support with managing Finance Inbox

Essential Experience
- Experience working in a business environment – FMCG preferable
- A minimum of 3 year's work experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Providing excellent customer service
- Working towards a professional qualification (AAT, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) desirable
Job Location
HQ (nr Andover, Hampshire), with ability to work from home up to 3 days per week.
Hours
Full time (40hrs) – Part time considered.
Salary
Competitive salary, based on experience.
