The Finance Department provides financial leadership in alignment with University strategy by delivering value and ensuring long term financial sustainability. We are looking a Finance Assistant to join the team on a 12-month fixed term basis, providing support to internal and external stakeholders across a broad range of financial queries and processes.
The Role
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join the Finance Services Team. This team are responsible for processing Order to Cash (accounts receivable) and Purchase to Pay (accounts payable) transactions. In this role you will predominantly work on the processing of expenses, making sure that these are checked and approved in line with policy. You may need to liaise with customers for clarification where information is unclear. Duties may also include setting up new suppliers, administering purchase cards, and reconciling receipts.
This role is available on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
About You
We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive approach. You will demonstrate good IT skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work on your own initiative and under pressure. Possessing excellent verbal and written communication skills, you will have previous experience of customer service, dealing with a broad range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will also have some relevant financial experience or may have a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related subject.
