Based in Nuneaton warehouse at least 2 days a week, this role presents an exciting opportunity for you to progress through your accounting qualifications. You will be supported by our training scheme, whilst contributing to the successful operation of the McLaren account.
As Finance Assistant you will assist the McLaren Finance Manager with inventory and inventory related reporting to ensure accurate valuation and correct operation of both financial and warehouse processes. .
As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:
- Review and action pricing variances, manual inventory adjustments and progress on clearing of aged items
- Monitor and ensure completion of PI counting process and report on stock loss
- Ensure the correct process is completed for receipt and packing of product in the system, as well as monitoring consumable stocks vs system stocks and adjustments processed
- Investigate invoices with no corresponding system deliveries
- Support the administration of incoming overhead invoices through sign off routes
- Review and update inventory forecasts for the client to ensure Unipart input is accurate and complete
- Suggest process improvements
- Compile monthly Inventory cost and client facing reports
- Become a super user on the new ERP system
About You
We’d love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you’d be able to perform well in this role!
- Degree level qualification or equivalent
- Highly analytical approach and enjoys working with data
- High level of competency on Excel or Google Sheets, including experience of SUMIF, VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
- Familiar with other office applications
- Work experience within a finance environment - Desirable
- Experience on SAP ECC6 or SAP HANA - Desirable
- Can demonstrate a strong teamwork ethic
- Self-motivated to develop
