Stadler Rail Service UK Limited (SRS UK) is a subsidiary of Stadler Rail, Switzerland. Stadler is establishing a reputation as a competitive provider of train maintenance services and has seen a number of successes since emerging in the UK in 2016.
In the next few years over 200 new Stadler trains will be joining the UK rail network. Our current depot locations are Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool, Newcastle and Norwich offering a wide scope of opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in the UK Rail Industry.
We are looking to recruit a Stores Supervisor to join the procurement team at our Crown Point Norwich Depot. Reporting to the Materials Manager, the role will be responsible for leading and supervising the Stores Team, engaging in-store activities and maintaining an accurate and safe store environment to ensure team members' activities are optimised to maximise productivity. Contribute as required to the continual improvement and development of the store's process, actively participating in various checks, briefings, meetings, audits and reviews etc and support the Materials Manager and Warranty Manager as required
STORES SUPERVISOR
- Undertake and supervise the smooth running of the store's operation.
- Achieve a continuous improvement in stores performance
- Lead the development of store procedures and process improvements as required.
- Responsible for the development, maintenance and implementation of stores systems, processes and procedures
- Promote inter-departmental cooperation, maintaining effective communication within all relevant levels of the business.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
- Write yearly appraisals for the Material Handlers
- Manage store's holiday requests
- Conduct effective and accurate stock checks and reconciliation in line with procedures.
- Work with management systems to ensure correct inventory
- Ensure the order book is maintained to ensure the status of each order is accurate and delivered within the timescales set out
- Produce KPI data to support the materials manager as requested to measure performance
- Management of waste streams and by products from maintenance ensuring they are disposed of in accordance with relevant regulations
- Invoice to PO reconciliation
- Provide support to the Materials and Warranty Manager as required
- Process warranty and repair opportunities to the Warranty ManagerYOUR TASKS
- Take a leading role in the development of a Warehouse and Stock Management Systems
- Ensure the suite of procedures and processes support a user friendly, accessible and visible system compliant with relevant standards
- Support the development and implementation of standards and procedures in accordance with the legal, legislative and moral obligations of Stadler
- Responsible for adhering to safety/quality systems and supporting the implementation thereof
- Embed a zero harm culture within the production function with people and product safety considerations at front of mind for everyone
