Hybrid (Liverpool + Remote)

£26,000 - £30,000 dependant on experience

As our Finance Assistant you will be a responsible, organised and curious team member, helping to ensure the finance department runs smoothly. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for producing up to date cashflow, sales ledger and purchase ledger every day.

You are an excellent negotiator ensuring clients settle their invoices within our payment terms. You'll have the ability to work meticulously and methodically, planning your own schedule to meet agreed deadlines.

You will build rapport with our suppliers and partners, and assist the Head of Finance in continuously improving and developing smarter ways of working.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Weekly client billing
  • Entering supplier invoices and credit notes
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Process supplier and partner payments for approval
  • Credit control
  • Monitoring and logging purchase ledger invoices
  • Assisting with month-end/year-end duties
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Banking cheques
  • Filing confidential HR documents


Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years experience in a similar role
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to interact with a range of people
  • Honest, trustworthy and conscientious with an analytical mind
  • Some customer service experience would be of benefit, but not essential
  • GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent qualification) in Maths and English
  • AAT Level 2 minimum or QBE
  • Strong credit control experience
  • Knowledge of Xero and/or Synergist preferred but not essential
  • Passionate and driven team player
  • Competent using Excel & Google spreadsheets
  • The desire to work in a creative environment
  • A confident personality with a can do attitude
  • The ability to communicate with people at all levels effectively and confidently
