Discover the Unexpected
Experian is the world’s leading global information services company. We’re passionate about unlocking the power of data in order to transform lives and create opportunities for consumers, businesses and society. For more than 125 years, we’ve helped economies and communities flourish – and we’re not done.
Our 21k amazing employees in 40+ countries believe the possibilities for you, and the world, are growing. We’re investing in the future, through new technologies, talented people and innovation so we can help create a better tomorrow. To do this we employ the brightest minds that share our purpose and want to make a difference.
Background:
We are the world’s leading global information services company. During life’s big moments – from buying a home or a car, to sending a child to college, to growing a business by connecting with new customers – we empower consumers and our clients to manage their data with confidence. We help individuals to take financial control and access financial services, businesses to make smarter decisions and thrive, lenders to lend more responsibly, and organisations to prevent identity fraud and crime.
By way of background, Decisioning Software is one of the UKs largest product businesses (~$50m) and is core to what Experian does; helping consumers and lenders manage and maximise relationships with their new and existing customers, whilst effectively managing their portfolios. Over the last 30 years, the Decisioning Software PowerCurve products have been the market leading software for Banks, Financial Services, Telcos and Utilities to acquire, manage and collect debts from their consumer or commercial customers. Our software is often a mission critical part of how they run their businesses successfully. Our clients demand market-leading products, with strong roadmaps and want to be able to gain access and use them in the easiest and most cost-effective way.
Our unique culture and agile ways of working offer a great opportunity to those seeking to join a talented set of diverse problem solvers to design, build and maintain our products. We pride ourselves in excellence, adopting best practices and holding ourselves to the highest standards.
The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Product Manager to join the PowerCurve Customer Management and PowerCurve Collections team as we look to transform our core in-life services and products.
The role of the Product Manager is to be an expert on how our products work and to also drive forward product roadmaps and new features. You will prioritise and own the technical backlog of the product capability across the workstream, ensuring the teams can deliver the right outcomes.
As a Product Manager your key responsibilities will be:
- You’ll manage the full lifecycle of the product
- Work closely with our global counterparts to focus on adopting key new global capabilities within a good time period
- Work in partnership with regional engineering teams to test new global capabilities and co-lead the roll out and adoption of new capabilities across pre-sales consultancy, delivery, small scale change
- Responsible for creating & maintaining the product roadmaps for each of the products
- Responsible for the delivery of our regional product development and for committing to the features of every release – ensuring this helps us deliver against the agreed strategy and yearly SPC papers. Ensure these help us deliver against our strategy of improving data & analytics integrations, whilst also delivering core product enhancements
- Be able to articulate client challenges to our internal engineering teams so we can solve for common client challenges
- Support updating of price books
- Ensure the necessary governance is completed: quarterly product master updates and ensure PRF product lifecycle processes are followed
We are ideally looking for someone with the following technical skills and knowledge:
- Previous experience working with Collections or In-Life software solutions or directly competing equivalents
- Experience of working with clients or coming from a client environment working with our products (or directly competing equivalents)
- Experience working on the commercialisation of new and existing products
- Experience delivering products using agile development methodology techniques, working directly with developers / technical teams
- Experience defining user journeys and stories and setting good quality story standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with staff at all levels of the organisation
- Proven track record of managing activities that support several full project lifecycle implementations
Everyone has different experience, and so please don’t rule yourself out if you cannot ‘tick’ all of the qualities mentioned above. Talk to us about the experience that you do have.
