Finance Assistant – Waterloo Regional Office
Would you like to join an established Hospitality company full of progression and enthusiasm? We are hiring for a Finance Assistant to join our Performance and Management Reporting team as part of PPHE Group. The role supports the Head of Performance & Management Reporting to ensure accurate and timely business information is available to the Hotel Financial Controllers and Corporate office.
What you’ll mainly be doing:
Reporting and Analysis:
- Preparation of all monthly management accounts
- Creation and posting of journal postings, accruals, prepayments and monthly reports for the UK & NL
- Responsible for uploading financial information into SUN, SAP, and Board, ensuring consistency across all systems
- Prepare monthly Balance Sheet and Intercompany reconciliations, investigating and correcting any variances
- Prepare VAT submissions and submit to the AFC for approval
- Intercompany reconciliations with relevant commentary for variances
Performance improvement:
- Identifies and engages in opportunities to highlight or improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing processes and procedures
- Supports the development and implementation of group-wide finance system & process changes
- Achievement of agreed KPI targets
Financial control:
- Provides support for internal and external auditors
- Ensuring the accuracy of hotel ledgers and compliance with the accounting practices and procedures as required by corporate policies and procedures, and generally accepted accounting practices
