Jacuna is looking for an outstanding Finance Assistant to manage day to day AP responsibilities and work alongside the Financial Controller and play a crucial role in the growth and geographical expansion of the company. The role is office-based out of our location in Shoreditch with one work from home day.
What you’ll do
- Be responsible for setting up / improving key AR processes, ensuring all processes are compliant and best practice criteria is implemented
- Manage all internal AR documentation, processes, and administration
- Manage the full day to day AR function (including month end)
- Review and direct the AP team dealing with supplier invoices and bank payment matching
- Process weekly payment runs
- Own supplier statement reconciliation assistance & following up directly with suppliers for difficult queries where needed
- Act as the key point of contact for all suppliers
- Be responsible for the employee expense claim process, monthly reviews and ongoing audits
- Perform monthly reviews of Xero ledgers to ascertain correct financial statement coding of supplier invoices
- Take ownership of the company credit card (AMEX) & related administration and execution of payment requests
What you need to succeed
- Minimum qualification AAT Level 3 (minimum)
- 1+ years accounting experience (preferred)
- Experience using XERO
- Experience working in a start-up (preferred)
- Previous Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable experience
- Excellent excel skills
- Excellent time management, communication, and organisation skills
- Have the drive to take ownership and responsibility for the quality and activity of their output
- Ability to be proactive and provide solutions to problems
- Ability to work as part of a team, and under pressure in a fast-paced start-up environment
