As our Finance Assistant, you’ll be working closely with the Finance Manager and will lead and develop all aspects of cash reconciliation and reporting. You will also support the continuous improvement of financial reporting and analysis. With the ongoing expansion of Everyman across the UK, you’ll play an essential role by facilitating smooth financial processes.
The position is a hybrid role based at our Head Office in Hampstead, North London, as well as the ability to work from home. You’ll be working 3 days per week in the office.
As our Finance Assistant, your day-to-day will consist of;
- Daily cashbook posting for Sales and Private Hire bank accounts.
- Complete bank reconciliations and provide a month-end summary.
- Daily revenue posting and monitoring venues with any closing issues.
- Oversee weekly cash/float spreadsheet provided by venues.
- Work closely and support venues to ensure cash processes are understood and consistently followed.
- Monthly cash sales reconciliation for venues.
- Complete daily money received to revenue reconciliations for all venues.
- Prepare Money in Transit for Line Manager and complete ledger settlements.
- Work with Financial Manager and Operations to improve in-venue processes.
- Raise invoices for different departments and liaise with customers for outstanding payments.
- Ensure receipts for invoices are allocated correctly.
- Liaise with the Private Hire team for Monthly Reconciliations.
- Provide Management with an Aged Debtors Report & Commentary.
HERE’S LOOKING AT YOU KID.
To be our perfect Finance Assistant you’ll need;
- Experience in a similar role from a “multi-site” industry, such as Hospitality, Retail or Leisure.
- Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot tables, V Lookups etc)
- Excellent organisational skills and first-class attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and able to communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders
- Be highly motivated with a collaborative work ethic
- Experience of Microsoft D365 is beneficial but not essential
- Understanding of Accruals / Prepayments
- Experience in system implementation (desired not essential)
