About the role
Operating in a prestigious corporate environment within a large Broadcasting Company based in London, where employee wellbeing is a key part of daily life. The role requires an experienced Hair Stylist who is a team player showing great customer service skills and who is passionate about cutting, styling and colouring hair. This is a Monday – Friday role only.
The offering includes Fitness Centres, Hair and Beauty Salon, a sports shop and other wellbeing services
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Cut, colour and style hair according to client needs
- Keep up to date with industry trends and styles use these when appropriate
- Up sell services and products for yourself and the team where appropriate
- Mentor team members that have less experience, to ensure growth and development across the team
- Deliver and exceed the relevant service level agreement and key performance indicators assigned by management
- Suggest innovations, processes and/or products to management that may be beneficial to the salon and that will enhance the client experience
- Use the booking system to change schedules, appointments as required and the Point of Sale (POS) system to process payments
Skills and Values

Education and Qualifications:
Required:
- GCSE or equivalent
- NVQ Level 1,2, and 3 in Hairdressing
Desired:
- Beauty and Aesthetics qualifications
- Barber /grooming qualifications
- Any other relevant hair and beauty qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years+ experience as a hair stylist
Desired:
- Any stylist speciality (e.g., colouring, extensions, Brazilian blow-dry, afro hair, men’s haircuts, beard trims, wet shaves)
- Corporate experience in hair and beauty salon and/or wellbeing
Skills
Required:
- Ability to complete appointments in a timely manner
- Technical knowledge and creativity for styling different types of hair
- Ability to communicate well and professionally with clients and relevant stakeholders within the business
- Passionate about their work and are always looking to learn and improve
- Physical stamina to stand for long hours and have flexibility to work shifts
- The ability to work unsupervised when required and work well as part of a team
- Have a basic understanding of the operational requirements of a salon and Microsoft products
