We are looking for a Finance Assistant who will contribute and provide support in the running of a safe and efficient finance function. You will work within clear guidelines to achieve defined outcomes for the business and our customer(s). We ask for enthusiasm and a drive to learn and in return this role offers a great stepping stone to start your finance career.
The primary purpose of this role is recording and processing costs for the South Region in an accurate and timely manner. Providing support to the Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager and site operations staff. The role will ultimately get involved with financial accounting and you will assist with the monthly trading cycle including journal preparation and input, invoicing, Purchase Orders, Internal invoice preparation and posting, accruals and prepayments. The role will also cover compilation of the site quicks and assisting the trading function for the site.
The Key Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant will include
- Purchase ledger / raising PO requisitions and housekeeping
- Weekly/Monthly Quicks reporting for the contract
- General Ledger / Journal production
- Assist with the production of monthly customer accounts and relevant back up reports
- Sales invoicing and credit control
- Support FM & AFM in producing accurate data
- Supporting Operations team with production of ad-hoc KPI information
- Preparation of ad-hoc customer focused reporting data.
- Accounts Receivable/Payable
To be successful as a Finance Assistant in DHL Supply Chain you need the following:
