Anord Mardix, a Flex company, are a global group that manufactures switchgear and associated products for installation in mission-critical and live commercial buildings ranging from data centres to the international headquarters of some of the world’s largest companies.
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Import / Export Administrator located in Kendal, England.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Import / Export Administrator role will be part of an excellent Supply Chain team, whose members are strong communicators, ambitious & innovative. You will work across multiple projects and be responsible for developing and maintaining a series of project schedules from initial enquiry through to project acceptance.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave, however there is some potential of the role being made permanent as we continue to grow in all areas of the business.
What a typical day looks like:
- Produce and checking essential shipping documentation, including customs paperwork and commercial invoices.
- External Liaison with customers and overseas Customs agents for export duty and customs clearing for all overseas shipments to ensure smooth delivery of goods through customs to end destination.
- Liaison with internal departments (including, but not limited to, Finance, Logistics, Procurement, Production, Projects, and Sales) to ensure the accurate and timely submission of paperwork.
- Recording all import/export data in line with HMRC’s legal requirements.
- Assisting colleagues in understanding requirements for exporting/importing (incoterms/tariff codes/valuations).
- Checking and confirming customs entries produced by direct representatives.
- Issuing clearance instructions.
- Booking International transport by road/sea/air/courier.
- Raising POs for transport & customs services.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Experience in a similar Import / Export Coordinator role
- Strong administration skills
- Comfortable with the use of Excel
- Possess excellent organisational skills
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment would be preferable
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentational skills
