Finance Assistant
Job Title: Finance Assistant (debtor/credit control focussed)
Office: Cleanology House, 7 Lion Yard, Tremadoc Road, Clapham, London SW4 7NQ
Package: £30k + (study support via apprenticeship scheme for AAT) post probation pass
Hours of work: full time; min. 45 hours per week – Permanent position
Position: Experience as a finance/accounts assistant or credit control experience is highly desirable

Responsibilities - The role will be focusing (50%) chasing debtors and (50%) supporting the finance team on day-to-day tasks.
· You will be following our debt collection policy which will involve learning our processes
· Monitor debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debt.
· Develop and maintain good business relationships with accounts/finance contacts for our clients and various internal departments
· Resolve customer queries and disputes related to invoices.
· Responsible for ensuring payments are received as per agreed payment terms.
· Drive our campaign to get customers set up on direct debit.
· Send copy invoices and statements of accounts to customers on request.
· Completing supplier set-up forms for our clients.
· Support the finance team with the monthly billing contract clients
· Post payments onto the respective customer accounts
· General admin – answering calls, supporting company events and projects
Essential Skills/Experience
· Knowledge of QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
· High attention to detail and the ability to organize your workload
· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
· Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
· The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Time management skills
· “can do” attitude and wiliness to learn
· Professional working proficiency in English
· ATT Level 1, 2 or 3 (desirable) or University degree in Accounting or Finance
· Previous credit control or finance/accounts assistant experience advantageous but not essential
