Due to rapid growth within our business, we are now looking to recruit a Finance Apprentice to join our Financial Accounts Team in a busy and dynamic role.

Due to the nature of the business. Applicants must be aged 18 or above.

Main Responsibilities and Key Tasks:

  • Assist the Financial Accountant in the accurate and timely production of the monthly accounts, including the processing of accruals and prepayments.
  • Maintain accurate and reliable schedules to support utility spend and general accruals.
  • Maintain accurate and reliable schedules to support balance sheet accounts, ensuring timely resolution of all outstanding queries.
  • Processing venue collections and monitoring of exceptions as per current policy.
  • Assist in any other projects as required.
Required Skills:
  • Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Accurate, attentive to detail, with good organisational skills and the ability to follow through on projects
  • Ability to develop positive relationships and work effectively with key stakeholders
  • Ability to work with confidential information regularly
  • Good communication skills, transparency, openness, and respect
  • Ability to solve problems utilising technology, skills working with MS Excel.

Entry requirements

Minimum of grade 4/C or equivalent in GCSE maths and English

Training to be provided

The successful candidate will spend time gaining experience across all Financial Accounting functions:

Financial Accounts, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Income Protection, Financial Controlling and Payroll.

Internal compliance training package.

Your learning will take place at MK College one day a week attendance.
