An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NUH Central Finance team for a Finance Analyst for Medical and Dental Pay. The role will help to provide financial management support to operational and corporate colleagues. Working with the Senior Finance Manager, you will provide analytical support in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly and annual accounts.
Your other duties will include reporting on Medical and Dental performance, implementing controls and efficiencies around premium pay spend such as Agency and Bank, development of business plans, targeting areas for improvement, process change, and providing Establishment Control support for junior doctors.
Working in a friendly and welcoming environment, we are looking for someone with strong Microsoft Excel skills, who is proactive, organised, has an excellent attention to detail and enjoys a challenge. The post-holder will be an enthusiastic person, a team player with a ‘can do’ attitude; keen to build relationships across the organisation in order to understand the finances and help to improve the accuracy of financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will be working towards a professional accounting qualification, with prior experience of working in a financial management environment.

The NUH Finance, Information and Procurement directorate employs in the region of 150 staff. The Financial Management department provides on-going financial/business advice and support to the Trust’s Divisions. The department utilises tools such as Service Line Reporting, Patient Level Costing, and benchmarking (Model Hospital etc.). These tools are used to help our operational colleagues develop a better understanding of their financial position and improve the effectiveness of their services.
