About the Role
The primary responsibilities of the role are :
- Support and ownership of a number of Corporate & IT Budgets
- Accounting support to other Business Areas
- Analysing accounting issues & preparation of journal entries
- Internal & External Audit liasion and support.
- Correct recording of payroll, fringe, vendor payments, rents, pre-paids, liabilities and other expenses in accordance with UK & US GAAP.
- Assisting with Monthly Accounting closing process.
- Backup for Banking transfers and submission of UK payroll files
- Ensuring timely clearance of suspense & Undistributed accounts
- Proactive and diligent support to team members & stakeholders
- Preparing accounting reconciliations for multiple accounts
- Support to UK Travel & AP teams as required.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
- Part qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent designation with some professional experience and specialised training
- Strong accounting & analytical skills including internal controls and auditing functions
- Demonstrated ability to support financial processes and complete financial requirements in accordance with local accounting standards and taxation regulations.
- Demonstrated good organisational & prioritisation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, deal with ambiguity and to perform to tight deadline.
- Some representation / presentations to senior levels of internal management.
- Ability to work as a part of a hybrid team.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated learning orientation. Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of US financial and tax regulations and principal areas of difference from UK requirements
- Experience of budgeting & forecasting
- Experience with applicable system applications including SAP ledger, P2P & Concur
- Ability & some flexibility to support multiple time zones
