About the role
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is very a broad role where you will develop a key working relationship with our third-party services provider, as well as supporting the two co-founders of the business plus other functions such as Operations, Sales, Marketing and Property Development with various tasks. You will be:
- Ensuring that the financial timetable, processes, and controls are adhered to across the business
- Maintaining the accuracy and completeness of the financial systems and ledger to enable accurate financial reporting, planning and analysis
- Reviewing and improving internal control procedures for efficiency and greater financial control
- Driving change and continual improvement, including implementing ‘best practices’, within the department and the wider business
- Supporting the introduction of other tech-based solutions (e.g., automation of systems and processes, data visualisation tools such as PowerBI) with the goal of improving existing finance processes and management visibility
About you
You’re highly organised with the ability to prioritise and a keen attention to detail. You can effectively communicate within a fast paced environment. You’re a personable and self motivated team player. You are:
- A fully or partly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Experienced in using Xero (or similar) accounting software
- Skilled in finance reporting software, such as Excel, PowerPoint or any other relevant accounting software
