The Service Finance Team at McCarthy Stone have an exciting new opportunity for a Finance Accounting Partner to join us.

- Role will be hybrid working with the successful applicant expected to undertake some travel to our northern developments and our HQ in Bournemouth. Travel expenses will be covered.
Our ideal candidate will be ambitious individual who is used to dealing with a variety of tasks and remains positive, has a willingness to learn new tasks and can develop strong working partnerships with stakeholders.
Role and responsibilities of a Finance Accounting Partner:
- You will be responsible for preparing accounts and budgets for a portfolio of Developments within the Northern Division and oversee a functional area of the Services business (e.g. Catering, Facilities Management, Utilities, Payroll)
- You will work with the Development Accounts Team to ensure the budget and accounts reporting system processes, are maintained and operate in accordance with agreed timelines.
- You will partner with Area Operation Managers and Disional Directors to oversee and prepare robust and clear commentary for their annual reports.
- You will deal with Homeowner queries about their accounts and ensure they are responded to on a timely basis and in a professional manner.
Skills and experience required for a Finance Accounting Partner:
- Ideally ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part qualified, or a QBE applicant.
- Relevant experience of active business partnering and stakeholder management.
- Previous experience of preparing of accounts and budgets.
- Experience of dealing with large volume of year end accounts and budgets in a calm and organised manner is vital.
- You will have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and a resilient nature.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experienced problem solver who can find solutions not only individually, but as part of a team.
- Strong system skills – Excel, Databases, Reporting tools. Ideally with some experience of Adaptive, Qube and Power BI or other similar tools.
- Have previously worked in a Customer Service environment.
